In 1993 Pat Hadley-Miller started freelancing part time while completing her degree program and working as a job-placement counselor for a nonprofit organization. In 1995, after finishing up her degree in English from Rutgers University, Pat launched into full-time freelance copyediting, proofreading, and writing. A couple years later the business was incorporated into The Write Word Inc.
